its start-up in 1980, Global Telecom has
enjoyed phenomenal growth. Global Telecom
commenced operations designing, engineering
and supplying equipment for Telecommunication
POTS External Plant networks throughout
the Sub Saharan African region. Over the
last 7 years, Global Telecom has incorporated
cutting edge technology access products/systems
into its portfolio, inclusive of Broadband
Wireless Access (BWA), Wireless Local
Loop (WLL) and VSAT, whilst still maintaining
its traditional core competency in copper
and fibre optic networks.
With the emergence
of NEPAD and its vision for a revitalised
Africa and the subsequent demand for
technologies such as VSAT and GSM to
provide rapidly deployable communication
solutions, Global Telecom has developed
a specialised divisions within the company
to deal with these specific requirements.
